‘Vehicle owners must bring the PUC certificate’

New Delhi: Towards winter when the level of pollution is likely to increase in the country’s capital, the Department of Transportation from the Delhi government has asked vehicle owners to carry pollution to be under control (PUC) certificates to avoid punishment, including suspension driving licenses for three months.

“The Department of Transportation, the Government of NCT Delhi, in sustainable efforts to control pollution and improve air quality in Delhi, ask all motorized vehicle owners in Delhi to ply their vehicle ony with pollution applies under the control certificate,” he said.
Vehicles are regularly tested for their emission standards for various pollutants such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide after they are given a PUC certificate.

The cost for the pollution certificate checks Diesel vehicles is Rs 100.
According to Central Motor vehicle rules 1989, each motorized vehicle (including the one in accordance with BS-I / BS-II / BS-III / BS-IV and plying vehicles on CNG / LPG) are needed To bring a PUC certificate apply after the end of a year period from the first registration date.
