Bengaluru: The resident of Jayanagar, Southern Bengaluru, upset with a strange police of towing vehicles parked by roadside in their area by slightly paying attention to standard operating procedures (SOP) issued by the top of the upper pants of the vehicle parked in a place that is not resumed.
Things came to head on November 6 when the six-wheeled two parked near the Jain College area was loaded into a towing truck in Jiffy on the 9th Jayanagar block.
There is no board on a wide road that announces that it is a zone without parking.
Residents say SOP stipulates that the towing staff must activate the siren before pulling any vehicle in the signal to the owner.
If there is no response, they can draw a vehicle and if the owner appears, the police can only collect the cost of violations prescribed to park the vehicle in the area without parking.
“How are the senior women and citizens crash into this police? If the rules are violated by us, they are late they take action.
Why is our problem unnecessary?” Said Lakshmi K, a resident of Jayanagar.
Immediately, the crowd gathered against illegal towers.
The police assistant (ASI) and then the traffic of Miko Jurisdiction rushed to the place, facing a shot from an angry occupant, apologizing and releasing the vehicle.
A residents’ video arguing with the police became a viral on Tuesday.
“Recently, the Interior Minister Araga Jnanendra also directed the traffic police to strictly comply with the rules of pulling while lifting the vehicle from the area without parking in the city, it did not provide space for any complaints from the public.
But what did these people do? “Subramarya said, another resident.
‘Cannot take a vehicle in the parking zone’ “We have the right soup for towing vehicles and when violated, we will take the necessary actions against our officers.
When the vehicle is in the parking zone, the officer and towing staff cannot pull it,” Km said Shantangju, DCP East (traffic).
