Chennai: Residential Welfare Association, several clubs and organizations in and around Velachery will create more than 2.3 hectares of soil forests.
It will be carried out on land ownership to Southern Railway, from MRT Velachhery to Taramani Station, and also close to Perungudi Station.
Sathya Narayana, President of the Rotary Club of Chennai, said they had formed green velachery – with the aim of planting 1 female leaf the following year.
“500 puppies have been planted and the drive will begin on the day of world natural conservation on July 28,” he said.
“The identified stretch includes road links between Velchery to Taramani Station and Perungudi train station.
The plan is being carried out to get a sponsor and build a water tank capacity of 3000 liters every 300m to defend the puppies for the next two months,” he said.
With the rainy season scheduled to be arranged in November, residents say this is the right time to plant anus.
M Ravichandran, Secretary Apex Club, said residents went to walk in the morning on the link.
“It was covered with bsuhuh and the whole layer of land was not used.
We want to plant worship and make a green patch,” he said.
Kumararaja, Residencivist of Velachery and trust members said that around 50000 puppies will be planted on this land in the next few months before the rainy season.
This will only be an original species.
The other 60000 will be planted as a bio-fence fence.
