Ranchi: Twelve days after they were asked to remove their company, refugee food vendors from Morhabadi Tanah on Tuesday did ‘Bhumi Puja’ in their new location near the football stadium allocated to them by the government.
After the ceremonial function, the shopkeepers expressed satisfaction for new settings and hoped that their crowd and income turnover would improve on the new site.
In particular, the administration has ordered a shift of shops from the area after a shot in Morhabadi’s land last month where one person died.
Meanwhile, the police administration said that shops operating organized will help in safeguarding law and order.
DSP (City) Deepak Kumar said that since the shooting incident, security in and around the Morhabadi region had been increased, he said, “Patrol in the area has been intensified while the visitors of the city, defeating the policing and the regional tiger has also increased.” He added the police too Identify sensitive and strategic places for installing CCTV cameras throughout the city.
