Thiruvananthapuram: District crime branch on Monday caught Suresh Kumar on charges of suicide from his wife Archana.
The public IRE increased against the police because previously let Kumar leave the day after Archana burned himself and died in their rented house in Venganoor.
This case was handed over to the district crime branch after the complaint submitted by Archana’s relatives who accused that he died in mysterious state.
Kumar was produced in court and returned in the custody of the judiciary.
DCP (Admin and Crime) P A Mohammad Arif, Assistant Crime Commissioner Johnson Charles, Sub-Inspector Anil Kumar and Suresh Kumar, Sreekumar ASI, Senior Civil Police Officer Sumesh, Civil Police Officer Rinu and Shamla are part of the investigation team.
