Venice: When tourists roam clearly on the bridge glass floor, the locals continue carefully.
Venice made sure walking on a narrow stone strip in the middle.
“It’s not a bridge,” said Angelo Xalle, 71, a retired port worker who remembers helping people with a damaged chin or the forehead gets up from the slim floor.
“This is a trap.” The bridge, Ponte della Costituzione, by the Star Architect Santiago Calatrava, is the work of the multimillion-dollars of glass and steel which opened in 2008.

Venice is not the first city to experience problems with the Calatrava project.
In 2011, Bilbao, Spain, put a large black rubber carpet on a paved Calatrava bridge with glass tiles because so many pedestrians had slipped and fell.
Calatrava faces lawsuits and fine for problems related to bridges but has defended themselves.
“The bridge was examined by a sophisticated method,” he said in 2008, “which determines that it has a solid structure”.
The Calatrava office did not respond to a comment request.
