PUDUCHERRY: Venkaiiah Naidu vice-president on Sunday urged the central and state government and the administration of the trade union region to protect and adopt the roof solar facilities and could also be made mandatory.

He spoke after inaugurating a 1.5 MW roof solar power plant which was installed at a cost of 7.67 crore at the Jipmer Medical College which was managed centrally here.
Naidu said that the installation of a roof solar power plant can also be made mandatory.
