NEW YORK: Seven Grand Slam Champion Venus Williams resigned from the US Open on Wednesday with a foot injury for hours after his sister Serena came out of the Grand Slam event.
Venus Williams, 41, posted videos and messages about social media that said he was disappointed to miss the New York Hardcourt tournament for the first time since 2006.
“Not the best news from Serena and me today,” Venus said.
“I also can’t play the US open.
It’s super, super, very disappointing.” Have some problems with my feet throughout this summer and I can’t handle it.

“Venus, who won the US title 2000 and 2001 and five Wimbledon crowns, did not have a schedule when he might return, just said,” I can’t wait to go back to court.
