WASHINGTON: The Biden government is”really interested” in continuing to make sure the US has a powerful energy partnership with India, ” energy secretary Jennifer M Granholm has stated.
Granholm, the very first female energy secretary of the US, made the comments on Tuesday while reacting to a query in a hearing about the department’s funding by the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
“I am quite enthusiastic about continuing to make sure the India and the US have a solid venture and now there are a good deal of energy tools which could help India reach its goals that are extremely aggressive too,” she told lawmakers through the Congressional hearing.
Senator Roger Marshall stated electricity is a national security problem.
“it is a tool which we may utilize to help or hurt our enemies or allies.
I am particularly prioritising our connections with the quadcore, Australia, Japan, and India,” he explained.
“There is certainly a chance to assist our ally India with natural gas and then extend our natural gas flow to people.
