Ghaziabad / Noida: The air quality index (AQI) Noida again sneaks into the ‘very poor’ category on Monday at 317 due to light rain.
It stood at 286 (poor) the day before.
But Ghaziabad and Greater Noida continue to have ‘poor’ air, just like on Sundays.
Ghaziabad recorded AQI 293 (poor) on Monday, a marginal decline from Sunday 294.
Greater Noida, on the other hand, had AQI 300 on Monday, up from 282 days before – both ‘poor’.
Track the level of pollution in City while you, the central panel with air quality, the air quality management commission (CAQM), has ordered 111 units in all Delhi-NCR for violations of pollut norms.
From them, 30 were in Delhi, 43 in Uttar Pradesh, 23 in Haryana and 15 in Rajasthan.
Caqm stated that until Sunday, his flying troops had examined 576 sites throughout the NCR.
111 Units or sites include 28 industrial sites, 42 construction and disassembly sites and 41 sets of diesel generators.
According to the air quality system and weather forecasting and research (Safar), AQI is expected to improve a little in the next two days because the wind tends to be moderate, increasing ventilation.
The minimum temperature tends to fall gradually leading to a more stable atmosphere.
The clean effect is that air quality will remain at the top end of ‘poor’ or the bottom ‘very poor’, said Safar.
On December 8 and 9, the wind is estimated to be low, and AQI is likely to remain in the ‘very poor’ category.
The air quality ‘very poor in the capital continues to oscillating in the “very poor” category on Monday, showing a slight decline for the last 24 hours with the air quality index (AQI) 322 compared to 305 days earlier.
Wind speeds are weaker on Monday morning, but reach up to 8kmph at night.
The city also saw drizzle at 0.8mm towards Sunday night, increasing moisture.
“The wind might be quieter around 8-9 December because of the western disorder approaching,” said Mahesh Palawat, Deputy President of the Skymet’s personal weather forecasting.
“There is a slight increase in temperature minimum because it is cloudy when it traps hot.
Mercury will begin to fall after December 9,” he said.
According to the central forecasting agent, Safar, Aqi is likely to oscillate at the upper end and down “very poor”.
For December 7, the wind tends to be moderate.
