Palanpur: A sick Labrador dog suffering from kidney problems and the liver accepts a new lease after three doctors gave him a rare blood transfusion in the Modasa City of Aravalli District on Wednesday night.
But it’s not easy at all.
Although significant steps have been taken by veterinary researchers and animal science at the university for dog blood transfusions, the lack of adequate donors continue to remain a challenge.
Thanks to three Pathfinders – Doctor Jitendra Bhutadia, Nehal Rathod and Priyanshi Patel – from 1962 Helpline Animal, a unique initiative to save the life of the dog succeeded and the type of type was also created in the district.
“We are looking for a healthy dog to save the lives of a labrador dog owned by Digvijaybhai Parmar from Dadaliya Village and after the old search of the Mamahant, which is good enough to help,” said Dr.
Nehal Rathhod.
The trio approached the Mahant of Gebinath in Gebinath in the village of Sayra in Taluka Modasa which had adopted about 15 wild dogs.
They are looking for healthy dog blood for their operations and Mahantant easily approving the noble causes.
His permission not only saved Parmar, but also restored the joy of the owner.
According to doctors, dog owners and some family members suffer from Covid-19 infection, which made them unable to keep the dog on time.
Pets have developed liver problems, which turns worse on Monday.
While the owner consulted with a veterinarian and fighting for his life, they also strengthen themselves to the worst and prepare to bid the dog’s separation.
Docs told family about the risks involved in dog blood transfusions and also that this was a new treatment for the whole district.
After the medical procedure was carried out, the two dogs were healthy and fine, said the doctor at the Shymalaji Animal Hospital.
“Labrador recovered after transfusion and on Friday it regained consciousness and also stood on his feet.
It also starts moving and eating.
However, we feel the need for more transfusion and observing,” said Dr.
Jitendra Bhutadia.
