PUDUCHERRY: Venkaiiah Naidu vice-president on Monday emphasized that research and development must be given in every field of programs for national development.
Inauguration of the first technology of technology sponsored by the Puducherry Government (called the Puducherry Technology University), he said the research and findings of institutions must come out with new ideas and out of the findings of the box “to make the country stable, strong and prosperous.” Naidu also said it was a sophisticated research in science and technology that helped developed countries to go ahead of other countries.
The vice president said that he always emphasized the importance of research and development in all fields of national development.
“This is innovative research in science, technology and other fields that place developed countries in front of the others,” he added.
He further said, “If we have to make Indian developed countries, we must make an ecosystem that allows researchers.” Vice-President said there must be promotion of ideas that will help the state facing challenges arising from climate change, pollution, poverty and other health problems.
He called educational institutions “to increase the interface with the industry to promote results oriented research that discussed contemporary challenges such as climate change, pollution, health and poverty.” Naidu said that a large literacy program was also needed by 20 percent of the country’s illiterate population.
“We must prepare our youth to end various social and artificial obstacles created including caste,” Naidu said, adding all gender and social discrimination must be ended.
The education sector is one of the worst affected segments during the pandemic, he said, adding a large-scale free vaccination program to maintain infection in the bay is a large initiative throughout the country.
The Vice President urged the legislator in Puducherry to make a door-to-door visit cutting party lines and ensuring that people are connected to Covid.
He described because most of the prelected increase in College Engineering Sponsorsed College Puducherry began in 1986 to the University of Technology now.
This will facilitate the introduction of autonomy to the university to start a newer course, he added.

Naidu is visiting two days to Puducherry since Sunday.
