Vidarbha: School Association Meets Monday at SSC Boycotts, HSC Exams

Nagpur: an important meeting between school guardians of all Vidarbha scheduled Monday in Nagpur to set a plan to boycott the SSC and HSC exams.
Under the Umbrella Maharashtra Rajya Shikshan Sanstha Mahasangh (MRSSM), affiliated schools demanded that the state government exchanged delayed contributions, others would not host the summer council exam.
Toi is the first to report about Mrssm’s plan to boycott the exam.
Ravindra Fadnavis, MRSSM Executive Member, said, “We will not give our school as a center for the council exam or we will divert tasks to our staff.
Over the past few years the state government has not paid us a non-salary (NSG) grant according to the rules.
, the replacement under the scheme of acceptance of rights to education (RTE) has not been given to all schools.
“Fadnivis said,” Representatives from the Division of Amravati and Nagpur (which cover all Vidarbha) will be present.
We will ratify our decision to boycott the exam and then also overcome Media.
“Mrsmm is an association of education confidence that operates schools and colleges.
The state government has decided to keep the ‘home center’ for the board exam, which means students will appear for tests in their alma mater.
This gave members Mrssm Leverage when heading to the bargaining table.
Fadniv said, “We are ready for talks with the government and a letter for the effect, it has been sent to the chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray.
But we want concrete commitment, not verbal guarantees.” Mrssm said that the High Court had directed the state government to provide a non-salary grant To school, but in the 2021-22 academic session they have not received anything.
“Also, the NSG given to us previously calculated according to the salary rate of the fifth payment commission.
At present, we have the salary of the seventh payment commission,” Fadnivis said.
Non-salary grants are given to schools that are financially assisted by the government.
Their staff salaries are paid by the state, because any school cannot impose the fees from students.
So, to meet other costs (utility bills, building maintenance etc.), the government gives them NSG calculated at 5% of salary grants.
