Nagpur: Dr.
Nitin Gangane, Dean of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS), Sevagram, has been invited to an interview with the Governor of Maharashtra for the position of Deputy Chancellor of Maharashtra Health Sciences University (MUH).
The interview is scheduled to be held in 5.
July Dr.
Garane is the only one from Vidarbha who has been chosen for interviews.
If he succeeded, he would become the first representative of Chancellor from the University of Health from the Vidarbha region.
Other candidates include big names such as LieK Gen (DR) Madhuri Kanitkar, the third woman in the Indian Armed Forces to be promoted to third place.
Recently, he received a medal ati Vishisht Seva (AVSM).

Nitin Karmalkar handles the additional accusations of Muhs V-C.
Dr.
Guaran is only alumnus MGIMS.
He completed MBBS and MD (pathology) from this institution and then DNB in the pathology and also a postgraduate diploma in hospitals and health management.
He also has a PhD in medical science with orientation to epidemiology and public health from the Umea University, Sweden.
Dr.
Garane is a member of the Government of the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR).
He is also a member of management and the Muhs Academic Council.
He previously worked on the Senate Muhs.
As the Dean of Mgims, Dr.
Guarana led from the front during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Institute serves thousands of patients and introduced many innovative concepts of Covid-19 treatment protocols.
Sources told TII that Lett Gen (DR) Kanitkar was award for the main post and competition to Dr.
Guarana.
The governor tends to state the new V-C name on July 5, right after the interview.
