Kanpur: The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday ordered an investigation with a special investigation team (sitting) into a video that has become a viral on social media where officers IAS Mohammad Iftikharuddin can be seen to tell people from adopting Islam as a religion.
The video was said to be a religious event that occurred when IAS officers posted as Commissioner of the Kanpur Division.
The video intended also featured religious leaders sitting next to the officer.
In other videos, iftikharuddin was seen sitting on the ground when a Muslim speaker was said to give a radical lesson at his official residence.
Sitting will be led by DG CB Cid Meena and ADG Kanpur Zone Bhanu Bhaskar will be a member of the Probe team.
“Sit had been directed to send an investigation report in the case of senior officers IAS Mohammad Iftikharuddin to the government in seven days,” said sources at the home department of the State.
After the video, which is said about half a dozen, go viral on the social media platform, the National Vice President of the Mandir Coordination Committee Bhupesh Awasthi also made several charges against officers IAS Mohamharuddin.
