Coimbatore: The decline in the case of Covid-19 daily in the district seems slow but stable, even when officials increase their obligations after a warning from global and national health institutions not to disappoint guards.
On Thursday, there were 256 fresh covid cases in the district.
The active case now stands at 3,453.
The district also recorded six Covid deaths that day.
The cheap area continues to report higher transmissions than district urban areas.
In accordance with the health department bulletin, the Corporation City area contributed 43% of new cases in the past week, while rural areas recorded the remaining 57% of cases.
Among rural areas, the caramadai was above with 11% of the Kasel followed by Thudyialur.
Despite being a solid location, Polachi Municipality reported a number of cases, accounting only 1.24% of the total cases.
However, the number of detention zones in rural areas is lower than in urban areas.
According to health officials, of the 84 detention zones in the district, only 35 in rural areas.
They said this could be an indication that these cases only spread in the detention zone in villages and transmissions were not wide.
“Therefore, the number of cases is high but the detention zone is less,” said an officer.
Ifficials said they did not let their guard down after a decline in the number of cases, because the movement of people had increased after the relaxation of locking, which might surge the transmission.
While the supervision of the temperature of train passengers to the city is being carried out at the train station, social distance is being rejected in many places, including buses, in the city.
