Vijay Hazare: Mumbai goes to Pondicherry in the last tie

Mumbai: It feels like adding insult to injury.
The day after they fell from the Vijay Hazare Cup, Mumbai finished a sad campaign in the tournament with a rather amazing 18-run defeat against Pondicherry in the film Thriller low score in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.
That means that defending champions are finished at the bottom of Elite Group B, with four defeats in five matches and only four points for the only victory they manage against Baroda.
On the goal that was difficult to hit, Mumbai did the Pondicherry Skittle Out because it was only 157 on Overs 46, with sailors Mohit Avasthi took four for 19.
Actually, they had reduced Pondicherry to 98 for eight years, before running a partnership between the Veteran Batsman Paras Dogrra, which Slamming half a century (58, 84b, 6×4, 1×6) and Bharat Sharma (15) took him past 150.
Ironically, Inning Mumbai took a similar course.
With Off-Spinner Fabian Ahmed took four for 16 in 10 overs, they were reduced to 98 for eight on the 29th, before the beats were great by the aarakshit gum (70, 127b, 5×4) and 49-run stand for the ninth goal with Seamer Dhawal Kulkarni ( 18) bring it closer to the target.
However, both Gomel and Kulkarni came out with the score at 139.
Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad continued his red hot form to destroy the fourth hundred but Maharashtra despite their narrow victory over Chandigarh could not be eligible for KO from Group D.
Brief Score: Pondicherry 157 in 46 Overs (Dogra Paras 58; Mohit Avasthi 3-19) defeated Mumbai 139 at 48.1 overs (Aakarshith Gomel 70; Fabid Ahmed 4-16) with 18 Run.
