LONDON: Indian Entrepreneurs Fuggitive Vijay Mallya has submitted a paper in the English High Court who sought permission to appeal against his bankruptcy order.
Mallya (65) was declared bankrupt with the bankruptcy and court company (ICC) of the High Court on July 26 this year.
His name is now listed in the individual insolvency registers.
A spokesman for the Chancellor Division in the High Court told the Toi that Mallya on August 16 submitted a notice looking for permission to appeal against the decision of Chief Hakim Briggs, who had revealed it bankrupt.
“He has September 21 to appeal the banding bundle and then will be referred to another judge to consider whether to give permission to appeal.” If permission is given, it will have a full appeal hearing, which can cause bankruptcy canceled.
Mallya was denied permission to appeal against the command on the day of the Person on July 26.
The LED Bank Consortium of the State Bank has submitted a bankruptcy petition against Mallya because it failed to clear the debt of £ 1.05 billion (Rs 10,695 Crore) was determined by the Tribunal Recovery Debt (DRT), Karnataka, in January 2017, which was later registered with the English Language Court.
