Mumbai: The Maharashtra cabinet on Wednesday cleaned the proposal to establish a ‘book village’ in all districts.
In the first phase, the book village will be arranged in every six circle of income and then, it will be extended to each district.
The state government in 2017 began this novel in a small village called BHILAR in Satara Regency.
Under the project, more than 75 artists were assigned by the Maharashtra government to make hotspots read by painting the designated location.
As many as 25 spots were selected in the village to turn into hotspots and books provided by the government.
Makeover is done on straw pathways in Wye, which is the popular Welsh city for literary festivals and possible libraries and bookstores.
Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday said that this is a decent concept promoted and will also help create awareness about marathi and literary languages.
This will also help increase tourism in the state.
