Villagers opposed plans for demolition temples

Mysuru: Again, controversy has erupted the authority plan to destroy religious institutions.
In November, the demolition of Mahadevamma Temple in Huchchagani Village in Nanjangud Taluk has led to general fosso.
Now, villagers in Kalaastavadi accuse the Temple of Mukhyaprana Anjaneya, who have a history of more than 500 years, are debated for demolition for widening MySore-Bengaluru Expressway.
Claiming that even Mysuru Maharaja was worshiped at the temple, the villagers demanded to be preserved by diverting the road.
The temple, which is located 11 km from the city of MySuru, is one of the 732 temples built by Sage Vyasatitha in South India, according to villagers.
This is the only temple that has an entrance from the west, around it.
In addition to Mukhyaprana Hanumantha, Lord Rangatha, Lord Basaveshwara and Navagrahas were offered Puja in the temple.
“In 2004-05, while increasing the Mysuru-Bengaluru toll road to Jalan Four Line, the temple was protected by diverting the road.” Despite the work of the ten road roads began five years ago, there was no notification incurred.
But we worry that the temple can be immediately destroyed.
The compound wall of the temple has been damaged and the Banni tree was destroyed, “they accused.” We are looking for government intervention to save the temple which is emotionally connected to the villagers, “said.
When contacted, Deputy Commissioner Bagadi Gautham said that he had assigned the Tahsildar endowment to study documents and submit a report on this problem.
