Villupuram: Villupuram MP D Ravikumar on Tuesday begged a Secretary General of Lok Sabha to postpone the home business to discuss the struggle of sustainable farmers even after the Union government revoked the three agricultural laws that they had protested more than one year.
Ravikumar gave a notice of moving the delay movement to Lok Sabha Secretary General.
In the notification, MP shows that the farmer’s struggle continued even though the government revoked three agricultural laws.
He regrets that the government has not negotiated with the five member committees formed by an umbrella body of more than 40 farmer associations to arrive at peaceful solutions.
“The demand (farmer) is still delayed.
That is why agitation is ongoing.
The farmers have announced that further strategies will be decided today (Tuesday),” he said.
Ravikumar said farmers demanded that the trade union government attract all cases submitted against them during protests, expanding adequate compensation and work to the families of farmers who died during protests and introducing laws to ensure the price of agricultural products (MSP) for agricultural products in between another.
He urged the United States to discuss these issues with agricultural representatives and arrive at peaceful solutions.
