‘Vintage’ e-golf cart in Chandni Chowk Road immediately

New Delhi: Very fast, electric golf cart ‘Vintage look’ will rise and go down Chandni Chandk which is changed, between Lal Jain Mandir and Fatehpuri Mosque, to meet the needs of visitors’ mobility for free.
Motorized vehicle movements are limited to 1.3km stretches from 9am to 9:00 on every day to reduce the Chowk Chandni area and now 11 managed golf trains will help visitors across distance.
This service will be free, but priority will be given to parents, which are different in women and children to travel.
The Delhi government transportation department has invited an interest in the interest (EOI) on behalf of Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation (SRDC), to choose one or more institutions to get and operate the golf cart on the main Chandni Chowk road.
Market merchant associations, NGOs, communities, companies, and other entities are eligible to submit their EOI for the project.
Initially, the period of involvement of a body will be three years but that period can be expanded with the discretion of SRDC.
The electric golf cart will look vintage which is in accordance with the aesthetics and the overall heriteness of Chandni Chowk.
Agency must first receive the approval of the SRDC on the design and color scheme of the cart before purchased.
Apart from the driver, the cart will be able to accommodate seven passengers.
Golf cart will have an uniformed driver and will be allowed to take or drop passengers only at the designated stop.
As part of the first phase, a total of 11 electric golf cart, including one backup, will be allowed to operate but during the next phase, the number of carts that will operate at Chandni Chowk can be upgraded to 22, including two backup carts.
Initially, the golf cart would be run on the main Chandni Chowk road but the operation of the cart might then be extended to the road side by side with the main road.
