Kolkata: The CBI on Thursday interrogated Supremo Mamata Banerjee’s election agent in Nandigram, SUFIAN SK, as part of his investigation into cases of violence after the March-April assembly poll, said agency resources.
Sufian was interrogated for more than four hours in Haldia Port City in Purba Midnapore, said the source.
The Calcutta High Court, after consuming the NHRC report on violence after the poll, have submitted the probe into the case of rape and murder “amazing honesty for the Central Investigation Bureau.
Agency has submitted 35 fir so far, based on complaints received from various quarters.
Sufiyan later Claiming that it is a “conspiracy” in the BJP leader Sufendu Adhikari leading to his interrogation.
He stated that he was not involved in criminal activities.
Adhikari and Banerjee had crossed the sword in Nandigram in Purba midnapore during the election, with BJP leaders reappeared from the chair.
