Shanghai: Chinese education firm supported by Tencent Vipkran on Saturday will stop selling classes taught by foreign-based tutors with direct effects to comply with new rules announced for the country’s private education sector.
China last month issued a rule of restrictions with curriculum-based earnings, aiming to facilitate financial pressure that has contributed to a low birth rate but has abandoned private education companies that face significant business impacts.

The company said in a post on an official Wechat account that existing customers will only be able to update the class taught by overseas-based tutors until 9 August.

Other Chinese private education companies have also reviewed their operations as a result of new rules.
