Bhubaneswar: President of RAM Nath Kovind on Tuesday ventured VIr Chakra on the Naib Subordin of Nuduram Soren from Odisha annually at the investment ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
LaxMirani Majhi, Naib Widow Subordin Soren, who received the award said he was proud of his husband who died in Galwan fighting boldly for the country and at the same time missed him every second.
“It is indeed a big honor and a proud moment for all of us.
I miss it every second and every time I see my children (three daughters),” said Laxmi to Ti by telephone from Delhi.
The daughters are studying in class X, VII and II in RAIRANGPUR.
Naib subordin Soren, 43, a native of Champauda Village in Mayurbhanj Regency, has joined the Army in 1997.
He died while fighting Chinese forces in Galwan Valley, Ladakh, on June 15, 2020.
