Virat Kohli should not leave Captain Odi and test: Sehwag

New Delhi: Former Virender Cricketer India Sehwag said Virat Kohli should not leave the captain of the remaining two formats – tests and ODIS – after the last one played the last T20i as Kapin on Monday.
Meeting Virat Kohli as Indian captain at the T20i ended after the team rounded up the Super 12s stage from the T20 World Cup T20 Male 2021 with a nine-goal victory echoing over Namibia in Group 2.
Kohli has announced before the start of the T20 WC that he will go down as the Indian side captain T20i .
With India suffering from severe defeat against Pakistan and New Zealand in two opening matches in the showpiece event, there is speculation about Kohli’s future as captain in two other formats.
But Sehwag now comes in Kohli’s defense.
“This is a virat decision, but I don’t think he has to leave the other two format captain.
If he wants to play the same as a player, it is his decision.
I feel under his captain, India plays well and his record as a brilliant captain,” said Sehwag on the page Facebook officials reacted to fan questions about whether Kohli had to go down as captain at all.
“He is a good player, captain aggressive and leading from the front.
I reaffirmed that leaving or not leaving the captain in Odis and the test must be his personal decision,” he continued.
Sehwag also said that the Indian team had to introspect on their poor sightseeing in the ICC tournament.
India last won the ICC trophy in 2013.
“I know we must support the team during difficult times but it hasn’t been a big ICC tournament.
India must be truly introspected.
The bilateral series is one thing people just remember You if you win the world tournament consistently, “said Sehwag.
The Indian men’s Cricket team will collide next with New Zealand on November 17 in the three match T20i series.
