Thiruvananthapuram: The government has fired Kiran Kumar, husband S v Viscaya, from government services.
Visimaya was found dead in a mysterious state at her husband’s house in Kollam with respect to the dowry problem.
This is the first example in the state where a government servant was dismissed from the service in connection with his wife’s death due to torture related to Mahar.
Kiran Kumar, who was trying in connection with this case, served as a motor vehicle inspector assistant in Kilipan regional Kollam from the motor vehicle department.
Transportation Minister Antony Raju said here on Friday that he was dismissed from services to involve anti-social activities, against gender equality and feminine.
He said that illegal actions and moral turbidity had reduced the image of the government and motor vehicle departments among the general public.
He has been dismissed from the relevant rules from the Relevant Rules of Kerala Civil Service Regulations, 1960.
In accordance with the rules of 93 (c) Kerala Government servants committed rules, 1960, “no servant of the government will take or give a dowry for her marriage or for Member Marriage, or dependents, from their families “.
In the case of being registered at the Sooranad Police Station on June 21, in connection with the death of Vismana, it has been noted that his death is the result of sustainable physical and mental torment by Kiran Kumar quoting dowry problems.
He was suspended from services on June 22 which was waiting for an investigation, and the government had instructed to complete the probe within 45 days.
The minister said that the official department’s official team found him guilty on the basis of witness and Kiran Kumar’s own statement.
The minister said that the government’s decision to dismiss Kiran Kumar from service was in line with the guarantee of the minister’s chairman to the Assembly and the civil society that the government would enforce female safety and gender equality.
Visimaya was found dead at Kiran Kumar’s residence on June 21, and his relatives and friends came up with allegations that he was under continuous torment from his husband demanding more dowry.
