Hyderabad: Telangana has submitted an objection to the visit of the GUAVARI River Management Council Secretariat (GRMB) to the project site in this country without involving sub-committees.
“The council acts unilaterally without involving the sub-committee (Telangana government officers are members in the sub-committee).
Even the submission record is being prepared without the involvement of sub-committees,” said the Cururidhar (Irrigation) engineer.
Muralidhar released a letter to the chairman of GRMB J Chandrashekhar Iyer on Monday, raising objections for taking over projects by the Board in accordance with Gazette notifications issued by the Department of Water Union resources without following the norm.
“The Telangana Government will facilitate the visit of each personnel of the council secretariat but will not accept the view from the officer’s visit without the direction of the council,” he said.
The state government said he had asked GRMB to take over the project gradually at first to establish implementation and protocol procedures.
“We have also brought to the notification of the chair that submitting or taking over the project during the period of water regulations will have a negative impact on the function of the water regulation,” he said.
Muralidhar said there was no general project at Godavari Basin except the Medium Peddavagu irrigation project serving both countries.
It also stated that the cross regulator in Kakatiya canal near the city of Geesukonda was under the Sriram Sagar project and cross regulator on the canal of Kondapochamma Sagar and Cross Regulator after a bifurcation point against the Gandhamalla reservoir under the Telangana region.
“Bites are being monitored at the canal headline.
Do not need to enter these components in any schedule,” he said.
