Panaji: Congress Official Vithu Morajkar was appointed as chairman of the caste department scheduled for Congress Committee Congress Pradesh (GPCC) with direct effects, on Friday.
Morajkar appointment orders are issued by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary General of K C C C Venugopal.
Morajkar has compiled the election of the Assembly from the Dhargalim constituency before being made part of the Pernem constituency, which has now been provided for the scheduled caste candidate.
Congress has nominated Jitendra Gaonkar to the contest from Pernem.
