Vivek Anand Oberoi and Sanjay Dutt-starrer’Shootout In Lokhandwala’ has finished 14 decades of launch now. Even the multi-starrer gangster play had gained a great deal of admiration upon its launch. Right from the narrative to songs and performances, the movie proved to be a total entertainer. On the particular event, ETimes touch base with Vivek, who’d played with the cult role of Maya Dolas, to reevaluate the shoot. Here Is What he had to say:
‘Shootout in Lokhandwala’ has been Vivek’s first alliance together with Sanjay Dutt. Taking a stroll down the road, Vivek stocks,”The very first day that I shot with the mythical Sanjay Dutt has been a battle between our personalities – the experience telescope as well as the gangster Maya bhai. I had been, naturally, super stressed. I would suggest’baba bhai’ because we lovingly refer to himwas a youth icon ! He was bigger than life”
Narrating an event that occurred during his college , Vivek adds,”It shot me down the road, to the times when I had been studying at a boarding school in the prestigious Mayo College in Ajmer. My dad was shooting in Jaipur and decided to surprise me visiting me in college. This was an awesome surprise to visit daddy but that which left me shell-shocked was visiting that the long-haired Sanjay Dutt soda from the vehicle. He had been shooting dad and chose to come together to say’hi’. Back then, he had been the most enchanting dude ever. I recall my mauka pe chauka instant, I asked baba bhai when he’d come together ten minutes to find that the Mayo woman’s school directly across the street. It was epic!”
What happened ? “After he walked with me, the gates started. The chowkidars were simply standing . The women went and that I felt like a king! For months later this afternoon, I was basking in his borrowed glory. The actual star had gone I turned into a miniature star in college. When I got into serious trouble for sneaking out of college to find that a Sanjay Dutt film, first-day first-show, I had been grinning on the interior. He had been my first star,” gushes Vivek.
While shooting the gangster movie, the actor educated Sanjay regarding the college episode. He shows that Sanju was splits after listening to this narrative. “Cut into, that day of shooting him. My friend Sanjay Gupta could feel my nerves said,’Come let us go meet with him. He is about the place’. I walked in dressed as a gangster and that he had been there at his cop uniform. I nervously put my hands for a handshake and he only grabbed me into a kiss. The nerves wrapped, the spectacle had been kickass, and a bond of brotherhood for life arose. When I reminded him of the excursion to my college, he burst into laughter and asked me just 1 question,’How many girlfriends did you create for me? ”’ strikes the actor.
‘Shootout In Lokhandwala’ proceeded to become a gigantic success. Aside from Vivek along with Sanjay, the film also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Suniel Shetty, Tusshar Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan, Rohit Roy, Neha Dhupia, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Aditya Lakhia, Dia Mirza, Abhishek Bachchan and many others.
