Vivo has launched a new smartphone in its home country China, called Vivo Y53s 5G.
The handset is the successor to the Vivo Y52, which was launched last year.

The base variant offers 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and costs CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs 20,500).
The top-end variant packs 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and costs Rs 1,999 (roughly Rs 22,800).
In China, the Vivo Y53s 5G will go on sale starting June 11.
Vivo Y53s specsRunning on OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11, the Vivo Y53s offers a 6.58-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a notch.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y53s houses an unnamed octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC and online reports suggest that it is a Snapdragon 480 processor.
Storage wise, it offers up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
For imaging duties, the Vivo Y53s 5G offers dual camera setup of a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and a secondary sensor.
On the front, it is said to house an 8MP sensor.
In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Y53s 5G options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
The Vivo Y53s is backed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, measures 163.95×75.3×8.5mm and weighs 189 grams.
Meanwhile in India, Vivo has teased the launch of Vivo Y73.
The company was revealed on June 10.
The company has not yet revealed any details about the specifications of the smartphone.
However, rumours suggest that the Vivo Y73 is said to run Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of FunTouch OS 11.1.
The smartphone is said to pack 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
