Visakhapatnam: In the proud moment for Andhra Pradesh, Konathala Phani Bhushan Sridhar, currently serving as ‘school assistant’ in ZP High School in Lingaraju Palem Village in the Visakhapatnam district, has been chosen for the national best teacher award.
The Ministry of Education Union announced a list of 44 teacher recipients on Wednesday.
Serving as a government teacher for more than 24 years, Sridhar has adopted a different teaching approach, which he thinks is ‘an integrated educational system environmentally friendly, socially responsible’, to care for and develop his students to be a socially responsible citizen for rural prosperity.
In this effort, the teacher focused on creating environmentally friendly infrastructure development in all four elementary schools where he worked early before being promoted as a school assistant.
For this, he involves all interested stakeholders from the community.
Mission Joint Overview (UK) visited the MP, Turakalapudi Primary School and appreciated the program taken by Sridhar.

Even during Covid-19, the teacher conducts awareness activities on pandemic masks and distributing and other protective equipment from their own funds.

Speaking to Toi, Sridhar said that he was happy to hear the news every day (August 18) when he observed his father’s first death warning, who served as a land scientist at the Rural Agricultural Research Station, Anakapalli.
“The focal point of my teaching is to offer the best students from world, traditional and e-learning techniques.
The main priority is given to the health of students by providing nutritious and delicious food.
The midday eating program is increasingly reinforced by providing vegetables planted organically by the people Students themselves with compost prepared through solid waste management, “Sridhar said.
“Environmental protection is social responsibility and when students are raised in an environmentally friendly atmosphere, they will be fully involved in spreading this message to rural masses,” said Sridhar.
The recipient of dozens of national and state awards, Sridhar received the national best innovative teacher award in 2019 and the best teacher award in 2012.
