New Delhi: Vodafone ideas have lost maximum customers in April 2021 followed by BSNL and MTNL.
In accordance with the latest telecommunications subscription data released by the Indian Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (Trai), the idea of Vodafone lost 18.10, 620 customers while BSNL and MTNL lost 13.02.776 and 2,765 customers in April 2021.
On the other hand and Reliance Jio saw base growth customer.
Reliance Jio added 47,56,340 new customers while airtel welcomed 5.17,237 new users.
Trai in his report said that India received 21.57,112 new cellular customers.
It also highlights that 89.80% of cellular customers are included in private telcos such as airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone ideas while only 10.20% of customers use BSNL and MTNL services.
“The total wireless customers increased from 1,180.96 million at the end of March-21 to 1,183.11 million at the end of April 21, thus registering a monthly growth rate of 0.18%,” Trai said.
It also added that wireless subscribing in urban areas increased from 645.20 million at the end of March21 to 645.62 million at the end of April-21 and wireless subscribing in rural areas also increased from 535.75 million to 537.49 million in the same period , 9.67 million submit their request for the mobile number portability (MNP) in April 2021.
