Kolkata: a civil volunteer – identified as Abhijit Haldar – injured when two motorists allegedly wanted him, allapsing that he blocked the road and extorted money from mini trucks.
The incident took place on Saturday night at the intersection of the Amratala-Armenian road near Burrabazar.
Haldar must be taken to the hospital.
Halder claims that he was attacked when he had stopped motorcyclists to take the left turn to allow other vehicles to pass.
The police investigated the two charges.
