Agra: Air quality in Vrindavan and Agra remain dangerous on Friday with the air quality index (AQI) left in the “severe” category, continuously for the past few days.
While Aqi in Agra was established in 405, the 32 notes less than the previous day, Aqi in Vrindavan was recorded at 471, 13 notches higher than the previous day.
Experts warn that polluted air is very threatening to affect them with existing diseases.
The index, monitored by the Central Pollution Control Agency (CPCB) throughout the country, shows that of the total 15 cities above, eight found in the “severe” category – bulandshahr and noida (488), Ghaziabad (486), Greater Noida (486) (486) (486) 478), Vrindavan (471), Baghpat (454), Agra (405) and Meerut (404).
Aqi between zero and 50 is considered “good”, 51 and 100 “satisfying”, 101 and 200 “moderate”, 201 and 300 “poor”, 301 and 400 “very poor”, and 401 and 500 “severe”.
