Wake up more shelters for wild cows: Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: Head of the Yogi Adityanath Minister on Monday said all the livestock left behind should be taken to a cow shelter where they can be properly guarded.
Overcoming meetings, CM said to accommodate all the livestock left behind, more cattle shelter should be established in the state.
“The Department of Animal Husbandry will be responsible for transporting livestock to cattle shelter.
For this, they must be immediately a team.
The shelter must have sufficient food, water, security and sanitation.
Settings must also be done to protect animals from cold and caregivers to be appointed For each shelter, “CM said.
At present, there are 5,384 functional cow protection places in the state where 6,50,052 are placed.
To ensure animal feed for them, the government has established 3,548 straw banks in various districts.
