Wall art to tidy up the Gurugram road, work can be started from October

(By Sakshi Dayal) Gurugram: In an effort to beautify the city, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) was looking at creating wall art in his area, officials said on Saturdays.
The tender has floated and works likely it will begin soon.
“The kite wall and the boundary along the main road can be decorated in this way.
Paintings can describe historical and cultural events or they can be associated with nature,” said Subhash Chander Yadav, Head of the Urban Environment Division, GMDA.
In 2019, similar projects were taken in Noida.
The local development authority has collaborated with a group of artists to tidy up the walls along the service.
The work began in June 2019 and then, this project was expanded to include pillars under the high road and Metro corridor.
According to GMDA officials, they have floated tenders for the project in April this year too.
But the documents they receive do not have “specifications”, such as the type of paint that will be used to make wall art.
This time, nine agents have responded and their documents will now be analyzed and financial offers will be opened for those who meet the requirements.
“Work can only begin after the rainy season is complete, in October.
The walls are wet now because of the frequent shower and we cannot paint it,” Yadav said.
If needed, the wall will get a new paint layer so that it can act as a base and “weather shield to protect the painting”.
The agency that runs work must provide a business that is at least for two years, the color will not fade, officials said.
This is the second project of GMDA in the city.
Last year, the authority had beautified the flying wall in the subhash chowk when the first cycle lines Gurugram opened along the Marg Subhash Netaji in October.
Instead of completing one institution for the entire project, GMDA plans to register five of the six institutions so that they can be asked to work “as needed”.
