Want Criminal Ashraf Nagori Nabbed from Maharashtra

Letter: Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Troops (ATS) Nabbed Wanted Criminal Mohammad Ashraf Nagori, desirable in some cases and accused of violations in the control of the fell of terrorism and organized crimes (Gujcoc), on Sunday.
Official sources said that Nagori, residents of Rampura near Lalgate in the letter, had fled to West Bengal in January and lived there for three months with a false identity.
“Then he moved to Navapur in Maharashtra and had avoided the arrest for the past eight months.
We accept specific inputs about his presence and send the ATS team that caught it,” said a statement issued by the agency.
Nagori was involved in organized crime and at least 24 criminal cases including murder, extortion, possession of weapons and dealing with others, had been submitted against him.
In January 2021, the police had arrested three members of the Ashraf Nagori Gang and had slapped the provisions of Gujcoc) to them.
Nagori was arrested in April 2013 along with six servants with arms and ammunition.
Nagori is allegedly connected with sleeping cells from Indian Mujahideen (IM).
Nagori, who had undergone a seven-year prison term in the case of Muder Hasmukh Lalwala, an advocate associated with BJP and VHP, in 2003, allegedly in close contact with the Aide Chhota Shakeel Don Dawood Don Dawood Ibrahim family.
Nagori was one of the accused of the murder of former Minister of Home Gujarat Haren Pandya but was released in this case.
In 2003, Ahmedabad police arrested Nagori under the prevention of terrorism laws, 2002 while police letters arrested him in 2013 and 2015 under the pasa.
“Nagori has been taken to Ahmedabad to be questioned after that he will be handed over to the police letter,” police said.
