Thiruvananthapuram: Kollam Timur police on Thursday caught a famous criminal, desired in connection with several criminal cases, from the hiding place in Bengaluru.
Ebin Pereira, 33, from Mundakkal was the defendant.
The police said that Ebin was sought by East Police for two cases, someone related to intrusion and house attacks in a family in July this year and other cases related to removing police arrest.
Kollam Sub Inspector Eastern Ratheesh Kumar said that Ebin worked as executive sales of used cars in Bengaluru when he was tracked.
He arranged work with the help of his friends living there.
However, his friends did not seem to be aware of the fact that he was a fugitive from the law.
He was caught after a risky operation.
The police team had camped in Bengaluru for several days after exploring its location in the city.
When the police reached the apartment, he tried to escape by jumping from the terrace of the apartment to the nearest building terrace.
Police officers also jumped afterwards and arrested him.
He was taken to the station on Thursday after his arrest was recorded.
Si also said that Ebin was involved in various natural criminal activities, including murder and drug accessures.
He was captured by excise officials for MDMA smuggling, dangerous synthetic drugs.
At present the ERAVIPURAM police in Kollam City have begun steps to request the provisions of the prevention law of Kerala’s anti-social activity (why) to it.
