Want to change my medal color in Paris Games: Sundar Singh Gurjar

New Delhi: Javelin Thrower Sundar Singh Gurjar may have won a bronze medal in Paralympics which was recently concluded but the star athlete wants to change his medical to gold in the Paris game.
Sundar pocketed bronze with the best throws of the 62.58 season on August 30 in Tokyo Paralympics.
“At the Rio Olympics, I was disqualified when I was late 52 seconds.
I was demotivated at that time and thought everything was finished for me.
My coach motivated me and helped me get my confidence again,” said Sundar to Ani.
“As a result, I became a world champion in 2017, 2019.
Now I have won bronze in Paralympics and I am very happy with this.
I want to change the color of my medal in the Paris game and will try to win.
Gold next time,” he added.
Javelin throws have monopolized the center of attention in India after Gold Neeraj at the Olympics.
And has increased further after the show from the athletes in the Paralympics.
“Everyone in India now knows about Javelin, in the coming days foreign players want to come to India for training, like that crazy,” said Sundar.
Sundar also edited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inspire and motivate athletes.
“We got support from the government, especially how our Prime Minister Narendra Modi had motivated all athletes.
He congratulated us after winning the medal, before leaving him also interacted with us,” Sundar said.
The Indian contingent on Sunday finished their campaign at the Paralympic Olympics well by securing a total of 19 medals covering 5 gold, 8 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
“I feel we will win at least 30 medals in the upcoming match.
We get respect but I want the coach to also be given the same flavor that we gave to the winner of the medal.
Some coaches have not received their awards,” Sundar signed.
