Hyderabad: A 19-year-old child was arrested for squeezing girls, most minors, by making friends with social media through false profiles, making them share nude photos and then extort them.
The defendant, Palakurthi Ajay, a student, was arrested from the dormitory in Dilsukhnagar after Cyber Crime Cops tracks it using the IP address and account where money is stored.
Ajay is a native of Warangal, police said.
He was picked up on police complaints from an underage child who told his family when Ajay pressed it to pay Rs 6,000 more after extorting Hospital 3,000.
“He approached the girls using a fake Instagram account with a different name.
After his friend’s request was received, he would make them share photos and then extort money,” said Cyber Crime Cop.
