Wardha: The City Police Station Team has arrested KaliCharan Maharaj from Raipur in the case of condescending comments suspected of being made by Mahatma Gandhi on December 26.
Kalioraran was taken to Wardha on Wednesday morning.
He was produced in front of my JMFC Nemade court which returned it in the tower for 14 days.
Kaliorry was submitted in Raipur Central Jail after his arrest in other complaints submitted to the same problem.
Sub-division police officers, Piyush Jagtap, said, “Abhijit Sarag alias KaliCharan Maharaj (45) was taken to Wardha from Raipur on the production warrants by the team led by Psi Pravin Patil around 5 in the morning.” The Wardha police have reached Raipur on Tuesday night.
Jagtap said that a case below 153 and 505 (2) IPC was submitted at the City Police Station on December 29, 2021, against KaliCharan after the complaint was submitted by Manoj Chandurkar, President of the District Congress Unit.
A source in the police said that Kalicaran was sent in the custody of the judiciary to Raipur Central Jail.
“Extreme confidentiality was maintained while carrying it to Wardha,” said the source.
Heavy police security is also deployed in the city.
Gandhian activists and Congress led by Chandurkar held a peaceful protest at Gandhi Statue near the collector’s office.
KaliCharan has criticized Mahatma Gandhi during the program in Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
Many complaints were put forward against it.
His video has become a viral on social media.
Chandurkar said the insulting statement such as Mahatma Gandhi caused chaos and riots between the community.
