Kolkata: Hawkers’ efforts to take place in Tripe where the adult tree stands up to a few days ago at Rashbehari Avenue near Hindustan Park opposed by locals who want to plant another tree there.
The tree must be cut down because it leans dangerous.
There are several other stretches along the sidewalk between Garatat Park and Deshapriya where parts of the vendor are waiting to eliminate lean trees so they can use space.
Hawkers who have a kiosk near a place that have just been emptied say it will be allocated to food stall owners.
A resident of Jatin Bagchi Road said the Hawkers trader was there from food waste at the tree base to weaken them.
“If the round spots, the tree will fall.
Then another place can be taken for Hawking,” he said.
Panchali Sinha, an NRI who visited Kolkata for three months every year, expressed a surprise in a way where the trees disappeared from Rashbehari Avenue and space was occupied by vendors.
“When we were young, we had learned Avenue meaning a paved road with trees.
Rashbehari Avenue fulfilled his name.
I have witnessed relegation in the Greenery along Rashbehari Avenue.
And every time a full adult tree, profitable hawking trade occupies space,” said Sinha.
Dhrubajyoti Octogenarian Chaudhuri, a resident of Rashbehari Avenue, given the presence of a large number of Krishnachura trees and Radhachura on both sides of the road in his youth.
“Rashbehari Avenue who lined the tree has disappeared behind the dirty sheet of jawking kiosks.
We have also seen a real temperature difference with the loss of large trees,” Chaudhuri said.
A KMC official said they would check the place before deciding whether the tree had to be planted there or not.
