Patna: After bomb bombs at the Darbhanga train station on June 17, the State Police Headquarters has now received intelligence input on possible efforts by terror groups to cause explosions on the train carrying daily bets to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
The source said the Intelligence Input stated that Pakistani-based content operations had contacted his colleague in Punjab that he would be given a timer device with explosive to plant it on the train where daily bets from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
The source said after receiving intelligence input, all field formations in the state have been asked to act coordinate with railroad administration, RPF and civil administration to maintain maximum warning.
All sub-division police officers, circle supervisors and home stations officers have been directed to take all necessary and preventive steps to ensure security.
Incidentally, massive checking and fricking drivers were taken at Patna Junction for more than three hours on Tuesday.
GRP, RPF, bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) armed with deep search and handheld metal detectors and sniffer dogs check even dust and all other items on all patna junction platforms.
Patna Railway SP Vikash Burman said they were alert since the explosion of Darbhanga.
