Thiruvananthapuram: The KSRTC has issued an order that the bus fleet operated by the corporation must be washed and cleaned regularly, and the public can notify KSRTC management about violations, if noticed.
In the order issued by the Chairperson and Managing Director of Prabhakar Biju, a Supercatic, fast circular bus and the city must be washed once in two days and ordinary buses and JNNURM must be washed once in three days.
For this purpose, all unit managers have been asked to involve employees in washing and cleaning the bus.
The washing schedule will be prepared, and the task will be assigned to employees for this purpose.
The CMD sequence says that after the order is removed, if there is a violation of management notifications, the service of all bus washing machines from the depot will be stopped, and the task will then be entrusted to the agent like Kudumbashree.
The order also says that all buses must be immediately equipped with upside down lights and indicators, and the driver’s seat must be made to be adjusted.
It has also been instructed to repair a bottle holder along with a chair.
If there are buses found operating without horns, lights or not hygienic, public can click photos and send bus details at the WhatsApp 9400058900 number, the CMD order said.
