Greater Noida: The authority of the development of the Great Noida Industry (Gnida) attracted four companies during Saturday and Sunday and imposed a fine of Rs 1.13 lakh to them because of non-compliance with the rules of waste disposal.
On Sunday, the authority resulted in total RS 93,000 in three companies for non-discharge of bulk waste, on Saturday, a private company contractor was fined Rs 20,000 to leave construction and demolition of waste along the road near Wipro Chowk.
Warnings are also issued for contractors.
“According to the Rules of Solid Waste Management (SWM), 2016, the bulk waste generator must dispose of their own waste.
The remaining 7-10% of inert waste will be taken by the authority only after storing the specified amount.
Failure to do so will result in actions against those who produce Large-scale garbage.
