New Delhi: Maharashtra Maharashtra Head Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday said his party Shiv Sena wasted 25 years in the Alliance with BJP.
Overcoming Shiv Sainix Virtually, Uddhav said his party would try to expand its tracks outside the country and aimed at the national role.
“Shiv Sena has been in harmony with BJP because she wants the power to Hindutva.
Sena never uses Hindutva for the sake of power,” he said.
Maharashtra minister’s chairman claimed that Shiv Sena was in line with BJP because of continuing the Hindutva agenda through power.
“Shiv Sena has been in harmony with BJP because he wants the power to Hindutva.
Sena never uses Hindutva for the sake of power.
I believe that the BJP Opportunistic Hindutva is only for power,” he said.
Thackeray confirmed the party’s decision to form an alliance with the Nationalist Congress and Congress Party (NCP) after the 2019 election said BJP “betrayed” them and made an effort to “destroy” them.
“We support BJP wholeheartedly to allow them to fulfill their national ambitions.
His understanding is that they will go national while we will lead in Maharashtra.
But we betrayed and effort was made to destroy us in our house.
So we have to go back” said Uddhav .
Shiv Sena fell with BJP after Maharashtra 2019 polls and tied with NCP and Congress to form the Government of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
Uddhav further accused the Safron Party “using” and “throw away” allied according to his political comfort.
“I support my comments that Shiv Sena wasted 25 years in the Alliance with BJP,” he said.
“On the contrary, our new Allied Congress and NCP have built institutions at the grassroots.
We also have to work in that direction.
In the past two years, we lost two chairs of the legislative council held by us in the biennial election.
I think we lose because of negligence And not because of sabotage in our ranks, “he said.
