Data shows that 63 dams have storage between 30% and 10%, and 185 dams in the state are less than 70%.
Officials said the water situation was related to North Gujarat, because only 15 dams had a storage of 23.75% while 20 dams at Kutch only had 20.59% of storage.
Saurashtra, which has 141 dams, only has 40% of storage, which is about half the level it has in 2020.
In Central Gujarat, 17 Dams have 42% of the total storage capacity of 2,347.37 mcm.
