The government will not provide irrigation water from now on.
“206 Dams in the state only have 51% of water, including the Sarovar Sardar dam which is filled with only 49.2% of its capacity.

Officials say that the flow of dam entry is 30,000 cusecs, and only 17,000 cusecs for two days.
Of the 206 dams in the state, only seven dam which have water stored up to 90% of capacity or more, eight has between 80% and 90%.
Only 11% of dams have more than 70% of storage.
Officials say that one of every four dams in the state reaches less than 10% of their storage.
Data shows that 63 dams have storage between 30% and 10%, and 185 dams in the state are less than 70%.
Officials said the water situation was related to North Gujarat, because only 15 dams had a storage of 23.75% while 20 dams at Kutch only had 20.59% of storage.
Saurashtra, which has 141 dams, only has 40% of storage, which is about half the level it has in 2020.
In Central Gujarat, 17 Dams have 42% of the total storage capacity of 2,347.37 mcm.
