Water flows through the roof of the new market leaking

Kolkata: Videos and photos of water flowing through the new market roof that are almost a long-last-century that triggered fears from not only other parts of the country but from all over the world.
Jerked by the reaction, Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) who owns and manages the heritage market, says it has taken the recovery of drainage lines in the area.
But engineers say the bigger problem is a leaky roof that must be repaired and restored carefully to ensure the market is not large damage.
Marilyn Cousens from Perth, David Riddler from Melbourne, Darryl Buckley from London and Christine Tsatsaroni from Athens was among a number of foreigners who expressed sadness and even anger over new market conditions that had lured them during their trip during their trip to the city.
As magnificent and famous as the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, they made that new markets with rich inheritance have been allowed to fall into such damage.
“Without maintenance of iconic landmarks, feeling destined,” Buckley wrote on Facebook.
Riddler and Tsatsaroni said they felt sorry for the shopkeeper.
Water before water has become a problem faced by shops on the market for years.
But what was once a droplet from the roof in a few blocks has turned into rainy season, damaging items stored in the attic and seeps into a power line that has caused shortening concerns.
The problem has been exacerbated by running water from drain stripes in parts.
The KMC department’s technical cell has taken the recovery of drainage lines in and around the new market.
“We sent a team of our technique cell to assess the drainage network after severe water logging in the new market.
After assessing the reason, the team has begun to clean the drainage line choking,” said a civilian official.
Even though this will solve the problem of water flowing from the got hole, it will take longer to overcome the problem of running water down from the roof.
A team of engineers assess structural damage to buildings caused by water seepage through the roof.
“It can’t be done in a hurry.
We have to learn it carefully and then plan improvements,” said a civilian official.
Resources in the KMC market department said illegal construction by parts of staff living in the roof have also increased the problem.
Cracks have appeared on the roof.
A few years ago, a child had sneaked through one gaping hole near the Rotunda Market Center.
